Second Term Inauguration Ceremony 

His Excellency Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde and His Excellency Barr. Abdulraheem Adebayo Lawal were sworn into office on May 29, 2023. The Chief Judge of Oyo State, Hon Justice Iyabo Yerima, administered the oath of office. In the Governor’s inauguration address, he promised to work harder to do even more under Omituntun 2.0 and sought Oyo State citizens’ support to make his vision a reality. The inauguration ceremony held at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Liberty, Ibadan. (May 29, 2023)

Governor Seyi Makinde made the following appointments in the past week: 

1. Honourable Segun Ogunwuyi –  Chief of Staff

2. Mr Sulaimon Olanrewaju –  Chief Press Secretary 

3. Miss Ololade Ajibola – Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Special Duties 

4. Alhaji Akeem Azeez – Personal Assistant (PA) I

5. Mr Samson Adejumo – Personal Assistant (PA) II

6. Mr Isah Kabir – Principal Secretary 

7. Professor Olawale Olakulehin – Acting Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso.

Official Visit by Africorp Consortium to Oyo State

Governor Seyi Makinde welcomed new investors, Africorp Consortium into Oyo State. The team from Africorp Consortium was led by the Director General, Mr Jaafar Harti. Africorp, the parent company of Mouka Foam Ltd, plans to establish a multi-million dollar factory in Ibadan, which they chose due to the favourable business conditions in Oyo State. During the meeting, Governor Makinde promised the company government support. He said the authorities will continue to work hard to make Oyo State the preferred investment destination in Nigeria. Others present at the meeting included Mr Femi Fapohunda, the Managing Director of Mouka Foam Ltd, Chief Bolaji Ayorinde SAN, and the Chief of Staff, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi. (May 31, 2023)
