An update and pictures of the completed reconstruction of the Idi Arere-Popo Yemoja Road-Oke Ado-Molete Road (1.4 km), part of Lot 3 of roads approved for reconstruction in Ibadan to Craneburg Construction Company. In addition to the Idi Arere-Popo Yemoja Road-Oke Ado-Molete Road, the Oke Ado-Tribune-Imale Falafia-Ososami-Iyana Adeoyo Junction, Ring Road and Idi Arere-Kudeti-Eleta-Idi Aro-Labo Junction-Orita Aperin Road have also been completed under Lot 3. These were among eight feeder roads in Ibadan totalling 38.48 km commissioned by Governor Seyi Makinde on 11 July 2024.
Similar to other projects under Lot 3, these works were carried out on the road:
- Cutting off failed spots and removing unsuitable materials within the potholes
- Repairing of rubble stone retaining wall
- Scarification of distressed sections of the road
- Desilting of drains
- Provision of 200-millimetre thick lateritic sub-base
- Provision of 150-millimetres thick crushed stone base
- Provision of compacted 40-millimetre asphaltic concrete binder course as a regulation course
- Provision of compacted 40-millimetre asphaltic concrete wearing course as overlay
- Road markings
The Idi Arere-Popo Yemoja Road-Oke Ado-Molete Road connects Ibadan South East and South West Local Government Areas.
