Gratuities Payment
The Oyo State Government paid ₦206 million in gratuities to 92 pensioners. The Commissioner for Establishments and Training, Hon. Adeniyi Adebisi, presented the cheques during an interactive session with the executives of the Nigerian Union of Pensioners (NUP), Oyo State Chapter. The pensioners include retirees from the State, Local Government, and primary school teachers in Oyo State. (13 September, 2023)
Swearing in Ceremony
Governor Seyi Makinde swore in the Commissioners for Health, Dr Oluwaserimi Adewumi Ajetunmobi; and Youth and Sports, Miss Wasilat Adegoke Adefemi. Governor Makinde charged them to get acquainted with the contents of the Oyo State Roadmap for Sustainable Development 2023-2027 and come up with strategic actions to fulfil the promises. He also emphasised that their swearing-in fulfilled his promise to increase the number of female commissioners from two to four under Omituntun 2.0. (14 September, 2023)
BECE Result 2023, Screening and Placement
The Oyo State Government announced the results of the 2023 Basic Education Certification Examination (BECE), screening and placement of primary six students moving into junior secondary schools and schools of science. The announcement was made during a meeting with the Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Salihu Adelabu and Principals of Public Secondary Schools in Zones One, Two, and Three at Lagelu Grammar School, Agugu, Ibadan. The Commissioner directed schools to collect BECE and screening/placement results from the Local Inspector of Education (LIE) offices, while students of the School of Science were asked to visit their respective science schools for results. Commissioning of 34.85 km Oyo-Iseyin Road and LAUTECH Iseyin Campus
His Excellency Chief Olusegun Obasanjo GCFR was the Special Guest of honour at the commissioning of the reconstructed 34.85 km Oyo-Iseyin Road which is a federal road, and the inauguration of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Iseyin Campus constructed by the Oyo State Government. The LAUTECH Iseyin Campus hosts the College of Agricultural Sciences and Renewable Natural Resources. In his remarks, Chief Obasanjo commended Governor Makinde for his accomplishments in reducing the infrastructural deficits in the State. (15 September, 2023)

Approved: New Aseyin of Iseyin
Governor Seyi Makinde approved the appointment of the new Aseyin of Iseyin, Prince Sefiu Olawale Oyebola. Earlier in August this year, the kingmakers of Iseyin had elected Prince Oyebola as the new Aseyin of Iseyin.
