Completed: Reconstruction of Ado Awaye/Abeokuta Road Junction-Psaltry International Limited-Alayide Village Road (2.5 km) LG Project

An update and pictures of the completed reconstruction of the 2.5 km Ado Awaye/Abeokuta Road Junction-Psaltry International Limited-Alayide Village Road. The Ado Awaye/Abeokuta Road Junction-Psaltry International Limited-Alayide Village Road project was awarded to A-B Bond Habitat Limited by the Iseyin Local Government Council.

The 2.5 km Ado Awaye/Abeokuta Road Junction-Psaltry International Limited-Alayide Village Road project has a width of 7.5 m. Works on the road include, the construction of reinforced concrete culverts, reinforced concrete drains and reinforced concrete retaining walls, repair of drains, earthworks and asphaltic concrete paving.

In June 2022, during an interview with Oluyemisi Iranloye, the founder and CEO of Psaltry International Company Ltd, Ado Awaye, she requested that the Oyo State Government provide an access road to the company. In response, Governor Seyi Makinde, at the commissioning of the Cassava-Based Sorbitol Factory at Psaltry Ltd in August 2022, promised to rehabilitate the access roads to Alayide Village (where the company is located) and the surrounding communities, ensuring better access to the agribusiness. The promise has now been fulfilled.

The Iseyin Local Government Area also boasts of the LAUTECH Iseyin Campus, 76.7 km Iseyin-Fapote-Ogbomoso Road (now renamed Adebayo Alao-Akala Memorial Highway), 65 km Moniya-Ijaiye-Iseyin Road that connects Ibadan and Oke Ogun Zones, 34.85 km Oyo-Iseyin Road that connects Oyo and Oke-Ogun Zones, and a host of other projects.
