An update and pictures from the completed construction of the weighbridge by the Iseyin Local Government Council.
The weighbridge is for the 76.67 km Adebayo Alao-Akala Memorial Highway (formerly Iseyin-Fapote-Ogbomoso Road), helping to protect the investment in the road infrastructure by ensuring that trucks comply with approved weight limits and contribute towards the maintenance of the road by paying a fee according to the weight of the truck. This measure is intended to contribute to prolonging the lifespan of the road, improving safety for road users, and supporting the effective regulation of commercial transport along the corridor.
The Iseyin LG Council also recently completed the construction of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Iseyin Campus Health Centre.
